HDAF Allotment Show

The annual Harrogate & District Allotment Show takes place in the Sun Pavilion in Valley Gardens.  It provides an opportunity for plot holders and associate members from across the Harrogate District to exhibit their prize crops, flowers etc. and to get together to discuss their successes.  There are lots of classes to enter - fruit & vegetables, flowers, baking as well as classes for novices, children and the whole family. You don't have to be an expert - give it a try. Trophies and cash prizes to be won.

Lots of stalls - plants, produce, cakes, books, tombola,- and a prize raffle.  Local charities, clubs and environmental groups all support the show and there is entertainment in the afternoon from a local band.

The 2021 Show, our Diamond Jubilee, took place on Sunday 15th August.  We had a thoroughly enjoyable day.  It was fantastic to be able to exhibit our best vegetables, flowers and baking again and with a few Covid-19 safety measures in place in the Sun Pavilion, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed and everyone had a great time. The  show is a charity event and, in 2021, £500 was donated to Ripon Museums Trust.

The 2022 Show took place on Sunday 21st August.  £600 was donated Woodlands Community Garden.

The 2023 Show will be on Sunday 20th August from 11.00 -1600 in the Sun Pavilion in Valley Gardens, Harrogate.  The 2023 charity is Ripon in Bloom.
